The City of Los Angeles Department of Convention and Tourism Development is leading the development of a Tourism Master Plan that will help the City enhance both the visitor experience and the quality of life of local residents and businesses.

This Tourism Master Plan will create a strategic vision that identifies a path for sustainable growth of tourism in the City. The team will analyze data from competing cities, advise on gaps in infrastructure, products and services, suggest changes and investments, and create implementation plans for long-term action and results.

The Tourism Master Plan will be crafted in partnership with industry stakeholders and the local community through interviews, meetings, events and electronic surveys. To assist us in this project, we have engaged the international destination strategy experts at Resonance Consultancy, which has created tourism master plans for cities across North America. In the coming weeks and months, our team will be engaging representatives from key industries, communities and sectors, including small business, arts and culture, technology, education, environment, government, non-profit and tourism, as well as seeking input from local residents.
